    Position Snapshot: This position is responsible for the general overall management of certain assigned projects and workflow, from inquiry to delivery. Work requires close collaboration between departments supporting the Engineered Products business, including products serving customers in the Stormwater and Wastewater markets. Duties may include managing assigned projects, from handling initial inquiry to estimating, generating proposals, bid packages, submittals, production scheduling and dispatching shipments to customers. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to quickly adapt to changes, possess outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, and be adept at problem-solving.
     
    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
    • Handle all customer and team member communications in a professional, respectful, courteous, and timely manner.
    • Coordinate activities with/between sales, engineering, production, and customers to ensure correct products and services are configured. Maintain organized files and database entries for each assigned project.
    • Requisition services and/or materials from internal and external resources as necessary to assemble specifications, price proposals and submittals, complete production details, and fulfill order requirements.
    • Use basic manual drafting practices to create new, or enhance existing, drawings for items outside the scope of computer-aided tools such as AutoCAD.
    • Support production through drawing interpretation and clear communication of project requirements.
    • Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch work and products to assure timely production and delivery.
    • Create job-specific O&M manuals, coordinating information for all internal piping, pumps, and /or meters from our vendors.
    • Troubleshoot installation issues and coordinate the appropriate repairs.
    • Occasionally travel to plant or job site to inspect the product prior to delivery and oversee installation of the product. Job site visits will require personal protective equipment (PPE), per company SOP and occupational safety guidelines.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced production environment.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to create and maintain accurate records.
    • Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.
    • Excellent time-management skills and ability to work independently with little supervision.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including folder navigation and file management.
    • Familiarity with construction project management preferred.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • College degree or equivalent industry related experience strongly preferred.
    • Previous experience in construction industry, preferably in project management, scheduling, and dispatching.
    • Customer service experience is a plus.
    Requirements:
    • Must reside in the continental U.S. within the assigned region. No relocation assistance is provided.
    • Must have a valid driving license.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
    Typical Schedule: Work is generally performed Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week depending on workload and production demands. This position may require travel to job site(s) one or two days per week.
     
    Typical Physical Demands: Physical agility and may require any or all of the following: standing, sitting, walking, climbing, reaching, bending/stooping, lifting (50lbs. max), pushing/pulling (50lbs. max).
