Non-Destructive Test Technician jobs in Kingsport, TN

POSITION: PRODUCT TEST TECHNICIAN

I.

Set-up and run performance, safety and certification tests on heat pumps, water heaters, air-handlers and related components or equipment as required, including refrigerant charging and adjustment.

Reports to Production Management

III.

1. Install, test and record test data on production products and components.

2. Collect and publish test results on units/components.

3. Maintain equipment and instrumentation as required.

4. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.

5. Perform other duties as assigned.

IV.

• Have earned or is progressing toward a 2 year Associates Degree in a technical field or related field, or 5 years of experience in a technical or related field.
• Familiarity and experience with gas-fired appliances such water heaters, boilers, furnaces or similar equipment.
• Familiarity with refrigeration equipment including refrigerant charging and adjustment. EPA license a plus.
• Familiarity with tools and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with ANSI standards, UL standards, and The National Fuel Gas Code as related to water heaters and boilers is desired.
• Familiarity with Windows based software such as MS Word and MS Excel.
• Developed oral/written communication skills including technical reporting.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
