May be responsible for testing engines or other mechanical components, storage or transport vessels like pipelines or containers, or major structures like bridges or tunnels. Being a Non-Destructive Test Technician requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Non-Destructive Test Technician works under moderate supervision. Description:
• Production test setup, test, and measurement equipment to conduct system level testing and troubleshooting
• Maintain and test environmental chambers in our facility
• Have the ability to review schematics and “debug” circuit boards and systems
• Execute structured problem-solving efforts
• Make technology improvements and take an active role in optimization of the process
• Provide clear and effective communication on status of projects
• Define and document test requirements
• Configuration management of test assets and setups
• Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment including but not limited to oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter, and other input/output electronic test devices
• Perform electrical and software engineering concepts including basic electrical wiring, remove/replace connectors, and mechanical aptitude
• Setup and troubleshoot a PC to an extent
• Setup and maintain labs for fast paced testing/production environment
• Test data gathering, storing, retrieving and analyzing
• Follow and adhere to all applicable manufacturing procedures and documentation
• Board and system level testing
• Establish and maintain organizational system in labs
• Collaborate in a team environment to develop new test solutions, propose process improvement initiatives, and work with cross functional departments to conduct RCCA relating to RMA or test failures
• Train new test employees process and document improvement
• Ability to write new test procedures
