What You’ll Do
Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of our products, integrating input from both internal R&D teams and vendors.
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts, frameworks, and test fixtures to aid in the automation and efficiency of testing processes, ensuring accurate and repeatable test results.
Collaborate with vendors to develop and execute functional, performance, and stress tests to validate software and hardware components of our products. Analyze test results to diagnose and resolve issues.
Establish and maintain a robust regression testing process, including automation, and collaborate with vendors to ensure that changes and enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
Utilize tracking tools to document and monitor defects, issues, and enhancements throughout the testing lifecycle and generate reports summarizing testing progress, results, and quality metrics.
Propose and implement best practices for testing within the organization, incorporating insights from vendor collaboration and test fixture development.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or computer engineering or related field.
7 years of experience in test engineering in the instrumentation or electronics industry.
Experience collaborating with offshore vendors and test fixture development.
Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Appium) and experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java).
Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including functional, performance, and regression testing, with a background in effective vendor collaboration and test fixture design.
Experience with compliance testing and certification processes is a plus.
Familiarity with hardware and software debugging tools and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges, especially in a collaborative vendor and test fixture environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, particularly in a vendor collaboration and test fixture design setting.

The California base annual salary range for this role is currently $105,000-135,000 plus bonus. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
