The Senior Test Technician will setup and conduct testing on vehicles, stationary partial vehicles, and subsystems. Perform setup and maintenance during the life of durability test stands. Provide direction to other test technicians on how to conduct vehicle and subsystem testing. As well as collaborating with team members across the company on design and build support. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and an outgoing personality, capable of working with a wide range of people, both internally and externally to EAVX. This role will not be the supervisor of other test technicians but will aid in training and overseeing the other test technicians. Little to no supervision will be expected for tests assigned to this role. Essential Responsibilities: Setup and conduct testing of technology/controls systems, mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems in vehicle solutions Instrument EAVX test assets Prepare EAVX test assets for shipment Perform maintenance on in-house durability test stands Oversee and train the other test technicians, directing them on proper testing techniques Support testing conducted at an external test house (e.g. HVAC thermal chamber testing, shaker testing, etc.) Collaborate on fixture designs Test stand fixtures Fabrication/Prototype fixtures Assist with build support Coordinate and conduct build evaluations   Required Qualifications: 10 years testing experience in the automotive industry Experience in FMVSS requirement review Testing experience in the following: Mechanical systems or component testing Electrical systems testing Thermal testing Vehicle feature and functional testing Controls testing Demonstrated experience with test and task management activities Practical experience with test management tools (e.g. Polarion, Jama, etc.) Practical experience with task management tools (e.g. Jira, Excel, etc.) Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience making presentations and technical reports Demonstrated initiative, persuasion, and strong listening skills Proficient in MS Office FMVSS testing experience preferred Associate’s Degree in a Technical Field preferred #LI-AZ
