Non-Destructive Test Technician, Sr. uses automated and manual techniques including ultrasound and radiography to perform non-destructive tests to identify errors or defects in equipment. May be responsible for testing engines or other mechanical components, storage or transport vessels like pipelines or containers, or major structures like bridges or tunnels. Being a Non-Destructive Test Technician, Sr. requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Non-Destructive Test Technician, Sr. independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. To be a Non-Destructive Test Technician, Sr. typically requires 5-7 years of related experience. JOB SUMMARY
The electrical test technician conducts tests and completes data collection activities of related equipment, component systems and Cable harness products. The position fabricates prototype components and test fixtures and performs installations and repairs of test equipment and components when necessary.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to sit, stand, walk, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers.
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force regularly, and occasionally up to 25 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as: inspecting manufactured parts (with and without magnification), preparing/analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and ability to distinguish colors and color variation of physical parts and components, and in documentation such as work instructions and engineering drawings.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
