    Job Description

    THE POSITION
     

    • Responsible for time studies, maintaining standards, time data, analyzing losses data/OEE/TEEP
    • Assist carry out of material flow and work process analysis, lead time analysis, and job evaluation studies
    • Perform benchmarking studies comparing key figures with other plants
    • Assist is collecting and preparing data for capacity, debottlenecking, and strategic projects
    • Responsible for identifying possibilities for process improvement based on the analyzed data in cooperation with production and engineering
    • Calculate potential savings of identified measures in the production area
    • Assist in carrying out feasibility studies of improvement measures       
    • Responsible for value stream exercises to identify areas requiring improvements
    • Facilitate improvement projects and workshops to improve the standards (e.g. workplace design, design of work organization, processes, layout, material flow design)
    • Define machine and process parameters to create requirement catalogues together with production and engineering
    • Plan and implement the projects agreed with the IE manager and the business team of the area
    • Support in presenting project status and results during business team, multi-level meetings, or similar forums
    • Actively participate in business team meetings for follow-up on losses development, improvement of OEE/TEEP, performance goal setting, and ensure the CBS approach is being applied within the cross functional business team
    • Implement std. times with production and employee rep or union and ensure data quality for IE systems
    • Follow up on correct application of standards with production and support development of standards operating procedures
    • Conduct improvement workshops on the shop floor with production and any other stakeholders within the area of responsibility
    • Work with other industrial engineers in reporting improvement measures in case of deviation compared to the standards and present results during the monthly review of the production area
    • Ensure the implementation of standards according to CBS and ensure that the CBS tools are being applied correctly
    • Actively participate in the CBT coaching reviews of level one teams and assist the level one teams in achieving the defined targets and realizing the innovations coming from the level one team
    • Participate as a champion for the area of responsibility for an area wide initiative such as 5s or TPM
    • Must have good written and communication skills and be a self-starter
    • Must be able to perform data analysis, use problem solving skills, and work independently and as part of a team
    • Ensure implementation of measures and maintain controls
    • Raise awareness and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties
    • Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards
    • Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or other related field
    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Three or more years’ experience in tire industry
