Role Summary:

Production Supervisors direct activities within the operations team as it relates to production, inventory management, and quality. These highly motivated individuals ensure efficient production while promoting and working safely within established policies and procedures.

Work hours: Monday to Friday from 6 am to 3 pm.

Location: Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise activities related to production (machining, assembly, welding, painting), testing, inventory management, quality.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming.
• Statistical control of the process.
• Management of metrics (utilization, efficiency, productivity, scrap, rework).
• Analysis for the solution of problems in lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (AMEF, VSM, 6's, SMED, etc).
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of assembly, manual/CNC machining, welding, inventory management.
• Supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (AMEF, VSM, 6's, SMED, etc).
• Management of KPIs
• Excellent knowledge of Excel.
• Production planning in different work centers.
• Must be a US person.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• BS or BA Degree in Mechanical or industrial engineering.
• Experience with ISO-9000-14000
• Desirable knowledge of welding standards (AWS, ASME)
• Microsoft Project or similar.
