Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor supervises personnel engaged in diagnostic laboratory testing. Performs assigned phases of nuclear research under the guidance of Director of Nuclear Medicine. Being a Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor assists medical students with hands-on instruction and equipment training. Monitors inventory of radioisotopes. Additionally, Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine. The Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Excel Diagnostics & Nuclear Oncology Center looking for a skilled and dedicated MRI technician to be responsible for providing clear images to Physicians through MRI scanning. The MRI technician's responsibilities include following Physicians' instructions, explaining the MRI procedure to patients.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    1. Perform MRI procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols.
    2. Maintain proper quality control procedures.
    3. Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment.
    4.  Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
    5. Knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures, and equipment.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. to be able to perform X-RAY is plus.
    2.  Knowledge of basic patient care and activities that may be necessary during exam.
    3. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
    4.  Work as a team member within the imaging department and all other departments.
    5. Document work processes as required.

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Completion of an accredited Radiology program required Certification
    • National registration with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists. (AART)
    • Current CPR certification for Health Care Providers.

    Experience: Minimum one (2) years’ experience in MRI.

    • Ability to properly position patients to provide quality imaging.
    • Ability to work independently. Complete understanding of MRI applications.  
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, management, and peers. 
    • Knowledge of current medical terminology.
    • Knowledge of imaging techniques to perform routine tests.
    • Knowledge of imaging equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
    • Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
    • Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
    • Maintain current CPR.
