Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor supervises personnel engaged in diagnostic laboratory testing. Performs assigned phases of nuclear research under the guidance of Director of Nuclear Medicine. Being a Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor assists medical students with hands-on instruction and equipment training. Monitors inventory of radioisotopes. Additionally, Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine. The Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Essential Functions:
· Preparing and conducting chemical experiments by using various lab equipment
· Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulations when handling chemicals and substances
· Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
· Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested.
· Determining and performing tests needed for analysis and report.
· Recording tests and analysis and then reporting results.
· Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure sample safety and integrity.
· Cleaning, maintaining, and troubleshooting lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment to ensure continuous operation
· Collect and analyze data from experiments and record findings in order to maintain equipment records and daily work logs.
· Staying current on technical and scientific advances in perspective field
Position Requirements:
· Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
· Ability to perform simple math functions; adding, subtraction, and division, percentages, and decimals
· Ability to read and interpret instructions on various testing procedures
· Must be able to attend orientation and training on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift
· Ability and willingness to work shift work, overtime, and weekend hours if needed
· Proficient in English language with reading, writing and speaking
· Must have the ability to work in a team or unsupervised environment while maintaining accountability.
· Must be an effective communicator both verbally and written
· Must have the ability to provide attention to detail and accuracy
· Understand the importance time management so that the job is performed in a timely manner
· Understand and adhere to the Sipcam Agro Solutions safety procedures
· Have a basic understanding of using a computer and software
· Wear the required PPE throughout your shift
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED
· Associate degree in chemistry or science (preferred)
· Prior lab experience (preferred)
· One year of related work experience in manufacturing (preferred)
Physical Demands:
· While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, as well as lift up to 50 ibs.
· The work is typically performed in a controlled environment. However, the employee will be asked to work in all types of temperatures and conditions.
