Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor jobs in Raleigh, NC

Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor supervises personnel engaged in diagnostic laboratory testing. Performs assigned phases of nuclear research under the guidance of Director of Nuclear Medicine. Being a Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor assists medical students with hands-on instruction and equipment training. Monitors inventory of radioisotopes. Additionally, Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine. The Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     As a nuclear medicine technologist, you'll prepare patients for testing by administering radioactive drugs. Working under the supervision of a physician at a hospital, physician's office, diagnostic lab or imaging center, you'll help patients understand the procedure, prep and deliver radioactive drugs, operate equipment, keep records and more. You'll play an important role in helping patients and providers get the answers they need.

    Minimum Requirements

    • At least 1 year of recent experience in relevant setting and specialty
    • ARRT/NMTCB Certification
    • BLS Certification (AHA)
    • Current state license (if applicable)
