Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor supervises personnel engaged in diagnostic laboratory testing. Performs assigned phases of nuclear research under the guidance of Director of Nuclear Medicine. Being a Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor assists medical students with hands-on instruction and equipment training. Monitors inventory of radioisotopes. Additionally, Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine. The Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Nuclear Laboratory Technologist Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work onsite at our client's healthcare facility in Midland, TX.

    Shift : Mon-Fir, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with call. Must work holidays that fall on these days.

    Position Summary:

    Practice technology founded upon theoretical knowledge and concepts, use equipment and accessories consistent with the purposes for which they were designed, and employ procedures and techniques appropriately.

    Assess situations; exercises care, discretion, and judgment; assumes responsibility for professional decisions; and acts in the best interest of the patient.

    Act as an agent through observation and communication to obtain pertinent information for the physician to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient and recognizes that interpretation and diagnosis are outside the scope of practice for the profession.

    The Nuclear Medicine Technologist uses equipment, radiopharmaceuticals and accessories, employs techniques and procedures, performs services in accordance with an accepted standard of practice, and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self, and other members of the healthcare team.

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    Current State of Texas License as a Medical Radiology Technologist.

    Successful completion of an AMA approved technology training program

    ARRT (N) registered or CNMT registered

    Equipment: Client equipment & Dspect Cardiac Camera

    MUST have PET experience.
