Job Summary:

• Established internal medicine residency program started in 2019
• Per the ACGME's formal requirements to be considered for Program Director, applicants must have:
  • Specialty expertise and at least three (3) years of documented educational and/or administrative experience
  • Must include ongoing clinical activity
  • Documented scholarly activity in the form of research, publications, poster presentations, journals, book chapters, etc. within the past five (5) years
• We offer 20 categorical internal medicine positions per year (but are approved for 72 positions)
• Minimum of 50% FTE of non-clinical time will be dedicated to program administration duties  
• Incoming physician will have the opportunity to apply for faculty appointment with University of South Florida College of Medicine
• Will be responsible for administration and operations; teaching and scholarly activity; resident recruitment and selection, evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary action; supervision of residents; and resident education in the context of patient care
• Must be American Board-certified in internal medicine (ABIM or AOBIM)
