Nuclear Medicine Technician provides diagnostic aid to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosages in accordance with established departmental protocol. Being a Nuclear Medicine Technician observes patients during procedures and reports any abnormal activity. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Nuclear Medicine Technician typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology certification Board, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.), or the American Society of Clinical Pathology. The Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) is a 24-hour referral and critical care hospital located in Fort Wayne, IN. NIVES provides specialized care in Small Animal Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care Services. We serve the clients of NE Indiana, SE Michigan & SW Ohio.
We are looking to hire a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team and support our Internal Medicine Department! We are offering up to $1000 hiring bonus for this position!
Anticipated Schedule:
Full or Part-time position available.
Monday – Friday, no weekends!
Compensation:
$21.50-$23.00 dependent on experience
Up to a $1000 hiring bonus!
Ideal candidates are friendly, detail oriented, and have strong multi-tasking skills. All candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations with sensitivity and tact. We have an extensive training period. Internal Medicine RVT duties include but are not limited to:- Assisting the internist
- Animal restraint
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Blood draws
- Administering medications
- Radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and chemotherapy.
- Client communication/patient discharge.
- Must be interested in caring for patients with complex medical needs.
RVT - High School Diploma or GED, VTNE and veterinary technician state license required.
