Nuclear Medicine Technician provides diagnostic aid to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosages in accordance with established departmental protocol. Being a Nuclear Medicine Technician observes patients during procedures and reports any abnormal activity. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Nuclear Medicine Technician typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology certification Board, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.), or the American Society of Clinical Pathology.     Work Details:
    • Support staff: 1 NP fast track, and 5 EM MDs, 2 mid-levels for cross coverage
    • Amount of coverage needed per month: Full Time
    • Hospital bed size: 253
    • Patients per day: 25-35
    • Patient population/age: Adults (85%), Peds (15%)
    • EMR: EPIC, PACS
    • Skills required: Trauma Level 4
    • Board Certification: BC ABEM, IM, or FP
    • State license required: SC
    • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS **MUST BE AHA
    • Minimum experience required: 2 years
    • Open to licensing candidates
    • Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days **Expedited privis are approved here**
    • $500 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
