Nuclear Medicine Technologist jobs in Cincinnati, OH

Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in both diagnostic studies and therapeutic treatments. Creates and enhances diagnostic images using a variety of imaging equipment and tools. Being a Nuclear Medicine Technologist collects biologic specimens and prepares data for interpretation by physicians. Follows radiation safety guidelines and documents radiopharmaceutical usage for regulatory compliance. Additionally, Nuclear Medicine Technologist may require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically requires certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     We are currently seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join our mobile team. Position offers a unique variety of duties and travel to multiple medical facilities.

    Anticipated Schedule:

    • 4-5 days per week
    • Every other Saturday
    • Weekly guarantee of hours
    • Schedules subject to change

    Responsibilities:

    • Competently perform imaging procedures, including administering contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals
    • Perform equipment quality check and adhere to quality assurance guidelines
    • Maintain compassionate patient care, comfort and safety, while ensuring patient confidentiality

    Qualifications:

    • Registered/registry eligible: NMTCB-CNMT or ARRT(N)
    • Ability to receive permit to practice(s) as necessary
    • Ability to produce quality special imaging with little supervision
    • Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check, urine drug screen and physical
