Nuclear Medicine Technologist jobs in Detroit, MI

Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in both diagnostic studies and therapeutic treatments. Creates and enhances diagnostic images using a variety of imaging equipment and tools. Being a Nuclear Medicine Technologist collects biologic specimens and prepares data for interpretation by physicians. Follows radiation safety guidelines and documents radiopharmaceutical usage for regulatory compliance. Additionally, Nuclear Medicine Technologist may require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically requires certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.   • Seeking a Part-time and contingent Nuclear medicine technologist for a large cardiovascular practice. This is an outpatient clinic with no weekends or holiday shifts.  Must be willing to work at our St. Clair Shores and Rochester Hills office locations. The candidate must have experience performing Nuclear Cardiology Procedures and the position requires a strong understanding of nuclear cardiology principles and techniques.
     
    Responsibilities include:
    - Ability to conduct high-quality nuclear stress images
    - Confirm orders for exams
    - Promote Patient Safety Standards
    - Maintaining log records
    - Documentation within the office EMR system (Epic)
    -Other duties as assigned
     
    Education/Experience:
    - Nuclear licensure required
    - 1 years minimum experience preferred
    - Basic computer skills required
    - Epic experience preferred
    -ARRT nuclear certification or CNMT certification required
