Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in both diagnostic studies and therapeutic treatments. Creates and enhances diagnostic images using a variety of imaging equipment and tools. Being a Nuclear Medicine Technologist collects biologic specimens and prepares data for interpretation by physicians. Follows radiation safety guidelines and documents radiopharmaceutical usage for regulatory compliance. Additionally, Nuclear Medicine Technologist may require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically requires certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. What you will do as a CDL Nuclear Technologist:
As a Nuclear Technologist, you will work alongside our Cardiac RN at our client facility. Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, the technologist is responsible for daily operations of the camera to obtain high quality images based on clinical protocols as directed by our on-site physicians. You will perform patient care during the scan as well as be responsible ordering patient doses for the clinic, maintaining the hot lab, ensuring that patient imaging and all clinical procedures are performed with high standards, while assuring compliance with all state, OSHA and other regulations are strictly adhered to at all times.
