Nuclear Pharmacist jobs in Atlanta, GA
Nuclear Pharmacist under the direction of a physician, compounds and dispenses radiopharmaceutical drugs to medical care providers. Responsible for procuring, compounding, dispensing, and distributing radiopharmaceuticals. Being a Nuclear Pharmacist analyzes drugs for verification of identity and strength. Must have completed a program in nuclear pharmacy. Additionally, Nuclear Pharmacist may require an advanced degree of pharmacy. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires license to practice. Nuclear Pharmacist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Responsibilities
The Pharmacist dispenses drugs and advises patients about the medicines they have been prescribed. The Pharmacist works collaboratively with other health care professionals to determine the most appropriate drug treatment for patients.
Qualifications1.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. RPh or PharmD required.

Experience:
Must have 4 - 5 years' Pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
3.
License/Certification:
Currently licensed as a Pharmacist in Georgia.
4.
Skills:
Must be a competent pharmacist who is oriented and knowledgeable in the specialized functions of an intuitional pharmacy.

Performs others duties as may be assigned by Director of Dietary/ Nutrition Services.
Moderate to low physical demands. Requires extensive time sitting, writing, and talking on telephone. Must be able to assist in physical crisis intervention when necessary.
