Nuclear Pharmacist under the direction of a physician, compounds and dispenses radiopharmaceutical drugs to medical care providers. Responsible for procuring, compounding, dispensing, and distributing radiopharmaceuticals. Being a Nuclear Pharmacist analyzes drugs for verification of identity and strength. Must have completed a program in nuclear pharmacy. Additionally, Nuclear Pharmacist may require an advanced degree of pharmacy. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires license to practice. Nuclear Pharmacist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     • 7 on/7 off schdule (Wed-Tues) starting at 8pm-6:15 am (10.25 hr shift)

    Acts as liaison between allied health professionals and registered nurses in providing accurate and rational drug therapy to patients upon receipt of an allied health professional's order. Reviews order for dosing accuracy, drug selection, drug interactions, allergies, and appropriateness. Serves as a medical team consultant by participating in multidisciplinary rounds, committees, and workgroups. Provides drug information to allied health professionals, nurses, patients, and the general public.
    Qualifications:
    Education
    Pharmacy Required Meets educational requirements established in the state of practice Graduate of accredited Pharmacy program; eligible for Pharmacist licensure in state of practice

    Residency preferred

    Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
    Licensed Pharmacist in the state of practice Required or eligible for license
    Board Certification preferred
