Responsible for procuring, compounding, dispensing, and distributing radiopharmaceuticals. Being a Nuclear Pharmacist analyzes drugs for verification of identity and strength. Must have completed a program in nuclear pharmacy. Additionally, Nuclear Pharmacist may require an advanced degree of pharmacy. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. We are searching for a Pharmacist to perform a variety of professional services and responsibilities related to the clinical review and dispensing of outpatient chemotherapy. Serve as a resource for nurses, physicians and other clinicians who participate in the management of hematology, oncology and other patients receiving care at Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care. Provide technical direction and supervision of assigned personnel. Communicate with patients and other health care professionals to optimize medication therapy. Provide functional or technical supervision over other employees in same or closely related classifications, where scope of supervisory responsibility is limited to direction, guidance, explanation, etc. Will be involved with clinical trials including maintaining logs for drug accountability, dispensation and destruction of clinical trial material. Participation in the brown bag program at Southcoast for patient adherence.
Hours: Per Diem
Shift: Day Shift; 7:00am-4:30
Location: Cancer Center - Fairhaven, MA; Required to float between sites
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 and seasonal Influenza. Must provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
