Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Long-Term Care Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately filling prescriptions for residents in long-term care facilities. We will enroll you in a pharmacy technician training program, and you will have the opportunity to work towards obtaining your pharmacy technician license. This is a full time, second shift position that offers two schedules, four 10 hour shfits (11am-10pm) or five 8 hour shifts (1pm-10pm) with one weekend day.
Responsibilities:
- Fill prescription orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.
- Adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures to maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance pharmacy skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in filling prescriptions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
