Nurse Manager - Long-Term Care plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures, and services for a long-term care facility. Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, and training clinical staff. Being a Nurse Manager - Long-Term Care ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for evaluating patient health. Additionally, Nurse Manager - Long-Term Care may require an advanced degree. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Nurse Manager - Long-Term Care manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Nurse Manager - Long-Term Care typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Nurse Connection Staffing is currently seeking Albany based licensed LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to fill supplemental staffing needs of business partners throughout the greater Capital Region and surrounding areas (Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady, to include Catskills). The ideal candidate will hold a valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse License and have 1 year of full-time experience working in Long Term Care or Assisted Living setting within the past 3 years.
Qualifications / Requirements of the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
- Must hold a valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse License and CPR Certification
- Long Term Care / Assisted Living assignments will require having 1 year of full-time experience working in LTC setting within the past 3 years.
- To work as a Licensed Practical Nurse in one of our specialty areas you must meet client/site specific requirements.
- Current medical documentation to include physical and PPD within the past year and proof of MMRs (immunizations or Titers)
