Signallamp Health is growing rapidly and actively looking for motivated triage nurses to work with us!
Signallamp has reinvented remote Nurse Triage – for our patients and our nurses - by staying connected with patients every month and bridging gaps in care between office visits. You work from home while caring for patients and helping them better manage their conditions.
What’s different about this job.
*** NEW! Now also offering flexible schedules after 6months (4 days x 8 hours, 4 days x 9 hours, 4 days x 10 hours). You pick what works for you! No change in benefits. ***
As a Triage Nurse, you still provide the same care, support and education to your patients as you’ve always done at the hospital or office. Only now you’re working from home. Avoid the commute (and the cost of gas!). Be home for your kids at the end of the workday. Work with your pet on your lap. Have flexibility to make doctors’ appointments.
A typical day
Conduct Telehealth Triage: Assess patient needs, evaluate symptoms, and provide telephonic triage services to patients. This includes answering patient inquiries, offering medical advice, and determining the urgency and appropriate course of action. You also have opportunities to establish relationships with patients and build trust and credibility with them and their families.
You are a key part of the patient’s care team and communicate directly with providers and the in-office staff. Using your own expertise and following the provider’s care plan, you keep patients on task – prioritizing their own good health, verbalizing their understanding of their conditions and getting preventative service. You are also an advocate for your patients, finding answers to questions and helping resolve their medical challenges quickly and efficiently.
You use technology tools to help you manage your patients, gather educational resources, coordinate patient care, and maintain each patient’s care goals. With your experience in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, you review recent office visits, communicate with the care team, and then accurately document what you’ve done on behalf of your patients.
