Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Room works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of patients admitted to the emergency room. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Room prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Room requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a physician. Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Room's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     THE POSITION:
    Emergency Nurses treat patients in emergency situations where they’re experiencing trauma or injury. These nurses quickly recognize life-threatening problems and are trained to help solve them on the spot. They can work in hospital emergency rooms, ambulances, helicopters, urgent care centers, sports arenas, and more. As an Emergency Nurse, you’ll treat a variety of conditions from sore throats to heart attacks for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
