Summary: The Nurse Practitioner assists with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations.
Qualifications:
Education: NP Degree
Licenses/Certification: Full, unrestricted license in the State. BLS, NE DEA, AANP or ANCC
Experience: Minimum three years as an Advanced Practice Provider.

Job Specific
In-Patient/Substance Abuse/Eating Disorder/Surgical Services Clinic
Primary functions will include servicing the clinics by providing consults for any surgical or PI referrals to determine if consult with surgeon is necessary.
Demonstrates a strong desire to help patients, families and all referents in the transition to treatment.
Conduct health assessments including recording complete medical and psychosocial history
Record symptoms
Physically examine patients
Make diagnoses
Develop a treatment plan that may include medication and other therapies
Provide patient education to promote habits that will prevent diseases and maintain good health
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses
Order and interpret laboratory test results
Follow up on a patient to determine the effectiveness of recommended treatments
Primary Care/Cage Free Care
Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition.
Provides patient education and information or summary.
Collaborates with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan as necessary.
Collaborates with the Medical Lead Physician as appropriate.
Maintains medical records.
Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
