Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Room prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Room requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a physician. Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Room's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.
