Must demonstrate the ability to communicate, speak, and enunciate to express/exchange ideas and detailed information in person and on the telephone. Position Overview
The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice Registered Nurse who works independently or in collaboration with physicians to deliver health care services that meet the specialized physiologic and psychological needs of patients. The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner delivers healthcare services to individuals of all ages within their scope of certification and education. The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner may be expected to work in any Singing River Health System Primary Care location affiliation or association, and
assume other duties as assigned within the expectations of the Primary Care department.
Requires successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, with a Master's degree in Nursing.
Mississippi State Licensure as Nurse Practitioner required.
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. Must complete BCLS and ACLS certifications by the end of position orientation; must maintain current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
One (1) year of advance nursing experience preferred.
Stands, turns, bends, stoops, lifts, climbs, and uses many physical motions in performing day‐to‐day activities. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and do a great deal of walking without experiencing undue fatigue. Must possess superior customer service skills and professional etiquette. Must possess proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (i.e. telephone, fax, etc.). Must have working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
