DePaul Community Services of New Orleans operates multiple Federally Qualified Health Centers in the Greater New Orleans area. DCSNO is committed to improving the health status of communities and continues a long tradition of health ministry. DCSNO is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to provide care in our outpatient clinics. The Nurse Practitioner operates as part of a team with other clinic providers and support staff in accordance with the scope of DCSNO operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provides medical services to patients, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention
· Diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases
· Prescribe pharmacologic treatments
· Serve as health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate
· Must have experience working with diverse population
· Must be a critical thinker with the ability to problem solve
· Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal and written
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must be LA licensed NP in good standing with the State of Louisiana
· Three – five years of NP pediatric experience preferred
