Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of newborn patients. Provides care for newborns and infants in a neonatal setting. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice. Madison Memorial Hospital (MMH) is seeking to hire a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in the Neonatal Intensive Care setting, and provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care. The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively and professionally to physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition, respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The RN will perform general nursing duties in the department and participate in performance improvement activities. This position requires excellent communication skills with patients/patient families from diverse backgrounds with the skill and expertise associated with Madison Memorial Hospital.

Cerner experience, preferred
