Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal jobs in Nashville, TN

Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of newborn patients. Provides care for newborns and infants in a neonatal setting. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice.     Responsibilities

    Pediatrix seeking an experienced neonatal nurse practitioner to join our team of 8 BC neonatologists and 28 NNPs in the Middle Tennessee area. Our team staffs seven NICUs in the Nashville metropolitan area.

    • Level II and Level III NICU coverage
    • Candidates must possess strong well-baby and sick baby assessment and management skills
    • Delivery room resuscitation skills for the term and preterm infant required
    • Neonatal transport
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
