Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal jobs in New York, NY

Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of newborn patients. Provides care for newborns and infants in a neonatal setting. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice.      This is full-time rotating shift position at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell -Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns. Rotating weekends and holidays (50% Nights)

    Preferred criteria

    • At least one year of NICU NP experience 

     Required Criteria 

    • Certification as a Pediatric or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner 
    • At least 2 years of NICU RN experience 
    • Master's Degree in Nursing
    • Current New York State NP license
    • NRP  certification
    • BLS/ACLS
