Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of patient's medical type such as psychiatric, oncology or obstetrics. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice. Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.   • PA /Nps responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Examine patients and their medical records
    • Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
    • Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
    • Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
    • Prescribe medications
    • Maintain accurate records and schedules
    • Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
    • Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics, and prevention
    • Oversee patients’ overall health
    • Promote good health practices

    Qualifications:

    Licensed to provide either an advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act] OR [physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987 ("Act")

    Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics.

    BLS/ALS Certified

    Pay: $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
