Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of patient's medical type such as psychiatric, oncology or obstetrics. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice. Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.   • LTC Physician Care LLC is looking to hire a licensed and credentialed Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner who will provide palliative care treatment and consultation to chronically ill patients under the supervision of one or more physicians to optimize quality of life.

    The nurse practitioner is an extension of the physician; being able to provide full palliative care across all patient types. The nurse practitioner is able to prescribe medication with physician approval, order and interpret tests, and recommend treatment of patients.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    The agency shall only employ a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner who:

    • 1. Holds a current nurse practitioner license in the state of practice
    • 2. Has a valid NPI #, DEA and CTP
    • 3. Is credentialed with Medicare & state Medicaid.
    • 4. Has previous hospice and/or palliative care experience (preferred)
    • 5. Demonstrates excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills.
    • 6. Holds a current valid driver’s license in the state of practice
    • 7. Is able to cope with work involving ill, disabled, and dying patients.
    • 8. Is able to move equipment and supplies necessary for job functions

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
