Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care jobs in Harlingen, TX
Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of patient's medical type such as psychiatric, oncology or obstetrics. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice. Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. QualificationsThis NP must be willing to collaborate daily with a Physician and support staff and examine and treat patients with utilizing evidence-based treatments*Examine patients, form plans of care, and order laboratory tests, diagnostic tests, and referrals as appropriate*Manage both acute and chronic conditions through direct intervention like medication prescription and patient education*Consultation with collaborating Physician as appropriate*Complete documentation of patient encounters, funding sources, and billing according to policyMonday-Friday 8:00-5:00pmConnect With Us!Qualifications*Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license*Nurse Practitioner Certification from either the ANCC or AANP*Current DEA licensure / Prescriptive Authority post-hire*Active CPR/BLS Certification*Not ready to apply?
