Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of patient's medical type such as psychiatric, oncology or obstetrics. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice. Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     • Working harmoniously with fellow clinical providers, APPs, and physicians in a 100% outpatient primary care clinic
    • Effectively communicating assessment findings to keep the PCP informed about potential care gaps

    • Graduation and certification from an accredited advanced practice program are prerequisites
    • A track record of two or more years in outpatient clinical settings as an Advanced Practice Provider, demonstrating autonomy in care provision without physician oversight
    • Proficiency in treating adult patients, conducting comprehensive health histories, and performing physical assessments for patients and families with acute, chronic, or potential health issues
    • Possession of a current, unencumbered State license or eligibility for licensure
    • Active registration with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) or eligibility for registration
    • Current Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or eligibility to enroll is required
    • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Comfortable navigating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
    • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
