Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care jobs in Longview, TX
Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of patient's medical type such as psychiatric, oncology or obstetrics. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice. Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Global Open Wound Care is a mobile wound care clinic specializing in chronic wound care. Our headquarters are in Southlake TX and we are looking for a Nurse Practitioner for Tyler TX and surrounding areas!
Our providers travel to the patient and collaborate with home health agencies and other healthcare professionals for treatment plans. We are looking for a part time nurse practitioner who enjoys their days to be different and has exceptional time management skills. We will supply you with all the materials you will need for successful treatment. Home health experience a plus. NextGen and eClinicalWorks experience a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and medical imaging
- Complete chart notes, pictures and orders
- Prescribe medications and other treatments
- Provide counseling and education to patients on wound care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide specialized care for patients with chronic, open wounds
- Provide care for patients including adults and elderly patientsExperience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting
- Experience in wound care is preferredPlease note that this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the healthcare facility.
