Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Care jobs in Tucson, AZ

Curriculum:

• Coordinates with the DNP Program Director to align the AGACNP curriculum with accreditation standards and requirements.
• Coordinates with the AGACNP team to align teaching needs with available resources.
• Collaborates with instructional design staff and teaching team to implement quality improvements in AGACNP clinical courses.
• Actively participates in the DNP Program Curriculum Committee (DNP-CISC).
• Coordinates with the faculty team to develop the annual virtual Residential Intensive Summer Experience (RISE) schedule and on-campus clinical immersion training experiences.
• Coordinates simulated learning experiences, including OSCEs, and software simulation solutions.

Student Admission & Academic Advisement

• Coordinates the AGACNP holistic admission process with the DNP Program Director and the Office of Student & Academic Affairs (OSAA). 
• Coordinates with the teaching team to align students with faculty advisors.
• In collaboration with the faculty team, reviews the AGACNP specialty program of study on an annual and ongoing basis.
• Monitors AGACNP students' progression and advises students to support academic success.
• Collaborates with OSAA to help ensure that students are meeting graduation requirements.

Student Clinical Placements:

• Coordinates with the faculty team to align students with a Clinical Supervising Faculty (CSF).
• Coordinates with the Clinical Placement Coordinator to make student clinical placement assignments.
• Monitors AGACNP student clinical hours, progression, and compliance with clinical requirements on a weekly ongoing basis.
• Coordinates AGACNP preceptor selection, development, and training.

Teaching: 

• Teaches courses in the DNP program within the scope of expertise, which may include foundational DNP courses and AGACNP clinical courses.
• Serves as clinical supervising faulty for students in AGACNP clinical rotations, maintaining and growing cooperative relationships with practice leaders at clinical experiential learning sites.
• Acts as advisor/mentor to DNP students and supervises work on DNP projects, creating a learning environment that facilitates student learning and achievement of DNP program outcomes.

Scholarship: 

• Develops and maintains academic excellence through clinical and educational scholarship in their area of expertise. 
• Disseminates scholarly work at local, regional, national, and international professional conferences and journal publications.
• Participates in teams to obtain funding to support student education and training.

Service: 

• Engages with faculty, the administrative leadership team, and students in furthering the mission and goals of the College of Nursing.
• Participates in College of Nursing governance activities.
