Nurse Supervisor - Phone Triage supervises the day-to-day operations and coordinates activities of nursing teams in a nurse triage call center. Plans work schedules and monitors call levels to ensure sufficient staffing and adherence to protocols. Being a Nurse Supervisor - Phone Triage responds to escalated problems and may provide patient care evaluations and guidance to nurses. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Nurse Supervisor - Phone Triage requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Nurse Supervisor - Phone Triage supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Responsibilities:
- Assess and triage patients in a fast-paced office setting
- Collect and document patient information, including medical history and current symptoms
- Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, administering medications, Blood draw, IM injections, and CLEA waived tests
- Collaborate with Provider to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Requirements:
- Valid MA license and certification
- Experience working in a Primary care or urgent care setting preferred
- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent patient service
- Strong knowledge of EHR/EMR use in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately document patient information
- Good typing speed of 45 WPM
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
