Nursing Assistant jobs in Columbia, SC
Nursing Assistant assists nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Nursing Assistant ensures patients' well-being and comfort. Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. Additionally, Nursing Assistant may serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. The Nursing Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Admiral Staffing is hiring for a Long Term Care and Rehab facility located in Camden, SC. We are paying $18-$19 an hour and have opportunities on the 7AM-3PM shift on a per-diem basis. We are looking for SC Certified Nurses Aides. Job duties include:
- Assisting patients with getting in and out of bed
- Assisting patients with personal and oral hygiene
- Performing basic movement exercises
- Assisting in repositioning immobile patients
- Serving meals and assisting patients with eating
- Monitoring food, water, and medication intake
- Taking and reporting vital statistics
- Monitoring and reporting any behavior, health, or vital statistic changes
- Assisting patients in mobility
- Offering compassion to patients and loved ones
