Nursing Assistant assists nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Nursing Assistant ensures patients' well-being and comfort. Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. Additionally, Nursing Assistant may serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. The Nursing Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. - The Assistant Director of Nursing chairs meetings specific to the nursing strategic plan
- The Assistant Director of Nursing assists with State Federal Survey Preparedness
- The Assistant Director of Nursing works within the focus of quality assurance and performance improvement
- The Assistant Director of Nursing leads the standards of care team with focus on quality measures
- The Assistant Director of Nursing provides bedside care in emergencies
Qualified Applicant will possess:
- Current unemcumbered State of CT Registered Nurse License
- Current CPR, BLS, AED Certification
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong clinical and nursing assessment skills
