What we're looking for in this position:
Our next Assistant Director of Nursing will direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care and staff. Initiates corrective action as required. We are also looking for skill in focusing on enhancing and coordinating resident care and clinical programs and quality scores.
Overview:
As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will be overseeing the rehab and resident clinical programs to ensure physical and psycho-social needs are being met and standards are being followed. The Assistant Director of Nursing also directs and organizes required Medicare/Medicaid assessments and required documentation. Along with evaluating resident care as needed to determine orders and care plan approaches are in place and followed for resident's needs, family involvement and the physician's plan of care for the resident. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, ensuring efficient and effective operations
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols
- Manage and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing feedback and guidance as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate medical records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Medicare guidelines
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting activities for the nursing department
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth
Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to effectively supervise and manage a team
- Extensive knowledge of acute care settings and nursing administration systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in medical record management and documentation

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master's degree preferred)
