Nursing Assistant assists nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Nursing Assistant ensures patients' well-being and comfort. Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. Additionally, Nursing Assistant may serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. The Nursing Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. We are currently seeking qualified, team-oriented Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) . Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) are responsible for providing assistance to Residents in performing their activities of daily living in a manner conducive to supporting safety, comfort, and personal dignity.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) responsibilities:
- Assist residents with performing basic tasks such as eating, dressing, showers and toileting when necessary
- Respond immediately to calls from patients for assistance or treatment and alert medical staff to pending emergency situations
- Encourage all residents to get exercise and participate in scheduled activities
- Engage in housekeeping tasks such as replacing linens on beds, cleaning patient rooms and removing and replacing trash bags
- Work with dining room personnel to ensure that all residents get the correct meals and that all residents are able to eat
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) skills and requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Valid CNA license - Must be certified in NJ
- Able to communicate clearly in English using written and verbal methods
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong bedside manner
- Ability to work as a valuable part of a team
