Nursing Assistant jobs in Vineland, NJ
Nursing Assistant assists nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Nursing Assistant ensures patients' well-being and comfort. Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. Additionally, Nursing Assistant may serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. The Nursing Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Temporary Nursing Assistant Qualifications:
- Temporary Nursing Assistant Certificate 8 HR Course Prior to January 11,2022
- Basic computer skills
Temporary Nursing Assistant Duties:
- Recording vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse rate, as requested by staff
- Reminding patients to take medications and other nutritional supplements as needed
- The ability to think and work independently, with direction from a team leader or manager, while maintaining efficient and consistent communications at all times
- Provide adjunct patient care as needed. This can include delivering ice packs and dressings to help relieve pain while in therapy or baths for soothing purposes after their session has ended
- Process a wide range of information from other professionals and work with physicians, caregivers, and nurses
- Closely monitor and record food intake, as well as urinary and fecal output, to be shared with key medical and nursing staff
