Nursing Assistant jobs in Wilmington, DE
Nursing Assistant assists nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Nursing Assistant ensures patients' well-being and comfort. Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. Additionally, Nursing Assistant may serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. The Nursing Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Responsibilities: (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant- Perform ADLs such as bathing, dressing, serving meals, feeding, ambulating, turning, positioning, etc.
- Maintain clean living conditions for residents.
- Ensure all reports and records are completed in a timely manner.
- Perform all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by Unit Manager, Director of Nursing and Administrator.
Qualifications: (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 18yrs of age or older
- Ability to work independently or part of a group.
- Computer knowledge.
- Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required.
License:
- Must have an Active CNA certification.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
