Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home administers the nursing program in a nursing home in the absence of the Nursing Director. Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care. Being a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Assists in the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Additionally, Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Typically requires an advanced degree of nursing. Typically reports to the Nursing Director. Requires RN license. The Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Qualifications
1. Cooperative and supportive work attitude toward employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians
2. Ability to promote a favorable facility image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and the general public
3. Ability to make decisions and solve problems
Requirements:
1. Graduation from an accredited nursing program, minimum ADN or AAS in Nursing, BSN Preferred
2. Minimum of 5 years OR and leadership experience.
3. ASC experience preferred.
4. Specialty certification required within twelve months: OR = CNOR or CNAMB; Perianesthesia = CAPA
5. RN with an active Alaska nursing license
6. BLS, ACLS, PALS
7. Evidence of leadership qualities
8. Strong ethical and moral character references
9. Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication in American English
10. Computer literacy

1. ASC experience
