Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home administers the nursing program in a nursing home in the absence of the Nursing Director. Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care. Being a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Assists in the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Additionally, Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Typically requires an advanced degree of nursing. Typically reports to the Nursing Director. Requires RN license. The Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. Assist in organizing and administering the department of nursing while providing quality nursing care and assumes responsibilities delegated by the Director Of Nursing.
Provide Nursing care on shift when needed.
Assists and copperates with medical staff.
Assist in solving nursing service problems.
Assists in supervising the assignment and scheduling of nursing staff to meet resident needs.
Participate in facility quality improvement program.
Conducts in-service programs and helps with orientation programs.
Assist in validating the accuracy of MDS and Care Plans.
Assists in supervising the maintenance of records of nursing,medical and related services.
Supervises RNs and LPNs.Supports the facility policies and programs to instill a better understanding and acceptance by the staff.
As requested, assists with DON responsibilities.
Review physicians orders daily and monthly, and participates in triple check process.
Participates and attends in services and staff meetings.
Assists in overseeing staff schedules and ensuring coverage to provide quality care for residents.
Perform other additional duties as assigned.
