Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home administers the nursing program in a nursing home in the absence of the Nursing Director. Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care. Being a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Assists in the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Additionally, Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Typically requires an advanced degree of nursing. In-Home Aide (CNA)
❖ Record and report changes in the client's condition, family situation, or needs to the health care practitioner.
❖ Laundry, Vacuuming, Dishwashing, Sweeping, Mopping, Dusting, Organizing, changing bedding. Meal preparation, medication compliance reminders, transportation, leisure activities, socializing, toileting reminders, bathing reminders, sitter services, and respite services.
❖ Assist ambulatory clients with mobility and toileting.
❖ Provide care for normal, unbroken skin.
❖ Assist with personal hygiene, (mouth care, hair and scalp grooming, fingernails, and bathing; shower, tub, bed, basin), Cut and trim hair.
❖ Shave client (electric and safety razor)
. ❖ Provide basic first aid.
❖ Apply ace bandages, TEDs, binders (demonstrated competency verified by R.N.)
❖ Assist limited function patient with dressing.
❖ Observe, record, and report self-administered medications.
❖ Make minor repairs to house and furniture as requested.
❖ Make an unoccupied bed.
❖ Provide companionship and emotional support.
❖ Shop for food from verbal or written instruction.
❖ Observe and report symptoms of abuse, neglect, and illness to proper professionals.
❖ Apply and remove prosthetic devices for stable clients (demonstrated competency verified by R.N.).
❖ Assist with feeding clients with special conditions (no swallowing difficulties)
❖ Assist and encourage physical activity and prescribed exercise.
❖ Assist client with self-monitoring of temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and weight (demonstrated competency verified by R.N.)
