Essential Job Duties:
Supervises and directs the nursing service department, as well as its programs and activities in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern a long-term care facility. Develops, maintains and periodically update written policies and procedures that guide the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
Coordinates nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of resident care. Maintains an ongoing quality assurance program.
Trains nursing staff in the proper provision of direct care to residents.
Assists in planning the nursing services portion of resident discharge plans.
Serves on and participates in care-related committees as needed
Lead others through actions consistent with and serve our culture.
Participates in facility surveys by government agencies.
Experience Preferred:
Must possess an active license to practice as an RN in the state of Kansas
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care and short term rehab
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must
Must be a stellar motivator and team-builder
