We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing care within our organization. This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and best practices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing ongoing feedback and support
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA and resident rights
- Monitor and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Oversee the management of acute care systems, including electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technologies
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in nursing practice
Requirements:
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of home health, hospice care, acute care, and other healthcare settings
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to effectively supervise and mentor nursing staff
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and resident rights
